Chatkaaz comes from the Sanskrit word Chaat, which means spicy and delicious.

Over the Kings Birthday long weekend we went out for dinner at Chatkaaz Harris Park to mark the beginning of Dussehra.
The Chatkaaz restaurant chain is located in Harris Park, Bella Vista and Wentworthville.
With a wide vegetarian menu, Chatkaaz caters to a variety of religious and cultural requirements.
These include:
Jain
Vegan
Gluten Free
Dairy Free
Halal Certified
We went to the Harris Park venue.
Off street Parking is slightly difficult however it is conveniently located right besides the station and easily accessible by public transport.
We ordered
Service was very quick and dishes were staggered
The chips and dosa were served to us first.
They were nice and hot, salty and crispy.

Score:8/10
Chaat was next and I would rate this their best dish.

Full of creamy tangy yoghurt flavours, it was crunchy with coriander and mint, I ended up finishing the whole bowl.
Score: 10/10
The pani puri then came and it was amazing too.

Depending on region, restaurant and climate pani puri or phuchka is highly variable.
We were given pani puri with 3 ‘sauces’

pudina (mint)
spicy tamarind
spicy black salt
The green pudina sauce was my favourite
The process of eating pani puri is simple –
Simply take a puri (fried cracker) break the top and gently pour in the sauce.

Consume the whole thing in one big gulp
Super messy and awesome
Would give this a solid 9/10
Final item/accompaniment was the masala soda.

Score 5/10
This was probably my least favourite item of the night. Slightly too acidic and too intense.
While they gave us extra sugar syrup I would have preferred it diluted with more a little bit more sweetness.
Total was $50
Overall I would rate this as a top experience and rate it 9/10
The facilities were good. Reasonably clean toilets, very quick service and a great location.

Price was also fair.
Hope every one had a wonderful Navratri and a Happy Diwali

Love
