Managing hunger and meals is one of the biggest parts of having a transplant.
If you are on prednisone (steroids) and tacrolimus these will all dramatically increase and interfere with blood sugar levels and cause sudden hunger pangs, irritability, and sugar spikes.

As well as this they can also cause GI issues such as diarrhoea, bloating and gas.
top tips include
Eat small meals frequently to avoid snacking
Limit added sugar and look for sugar free alternatives to drinks and confectionary

Include more lean protein as this will help you feel ‘full’ for longer.
